An evening with the Bengals

How cool is this? Last Thursday I was invited to an award ceremony at the Bengals vs. Rams game where Coach Marvin Lewis was receiving the national Steve Patterson Award for Excellence in Sports Philanthropy. Prior to the game, I was able to get on the field to take a bunch of images of the players warming up. These guys are huge, and fast! Here's a sampling of the photos. I got dozens more but won't bore you. (Note: I don't know anything about football and I don't claim to be a sports photographer!)

baby doll

Enjoy this sneak peek of one of the cutest 18-month olds I've photographed in awhile! Don't you love the outfit, too?

sneak peek for mom

OMG -- I had such a hard time choosing my favorites from this session! These two were so sweet and cooperative despite all the other distractions running around that morning.

family time

It seems like it's been ages since I've had a family session. Fall is generally the time for family portraits and summer is all about the high school seniors and kids. So I was thrilled this past week to get a family session in. This was a "rush job" because one of the boys was actually heading to France the next day to play in the European equivalent of the NBA. How cool is that? I'm so glad I was able to capture these for mom before her baby left the country.

ladies night

I recently returned from my 20-year high school reunion out in California -- yes, I'm that old! -- and had the greatest time visiting with relatives, hanging out with "old" friends and enjoying the beautiful weather. Pre-reunion I snapped a few shots of my BFFs. Here's a sampling of the pretty ladies.

terrible twos?

Look at this angelic little face and explain to me why they call it the terrible twos. There is nothing terrible about this handsome little guy. He's got the sweetest smile, sparkling blue eyes and such a gentle disposition...

hanging with JD

This is Jackson, my brother's youngest kid. I got to meet him for the first time last week while on a trip to California. Except for throwing down his hat every 5 seconds, he was such a good sport for pictures. Isn't he the sweetest?
